This pretty ice skating path near St Moritz follows the Inn River for 2.5 km. Unlike other ice paths that are mainly in the forest, this path has wide open views of the surrounding mountain peaks.

To use the ice skating path, it costs CHF 5/adult, kids are free. There's no skate rental on-site, but you could try these nearby sport shops:

• Willy Sport - Via Maistra 31, 7524 Zuoz

• Colani Sport - Via Cumünela 58, 7522 La Punt-Chamues-ch

• Promulins Arena - Promulins 12, 7503 Samedan

Location: You can start at either end of the path: Engadin River Ranch - Via Suot 35C, 7523 Madulain Near Engadine Golf Club - Via Dorta, 7524 Zuoz (large parking lot here and also short walk from Zuoz train station)

This is a good add-on activity if you are doing a holiday at the St Moritz / Corvatsch ski areas.

Open: Usually open in January and February if temperatures are cold enough. Check the status of the trail.
