Alvier is an impressive mountain located in the Appenzell Alps in the canton of St. Gallen. It stands tall and alone at a height of 2343m and is easily referred to as the 'King of the Appenzell Alps'. If you're looking for a challenge, tackling an ascent to the summit is a must! Alvierhütte situated at the top is opening 16th of June 2023. The hike starts in the Berghaus Palfries - 5.1km out&back, 653m elevation gain, challenging hike - around 3h15min.
