This secluded and hidden gem in North Iceland is tucked away near a river and Reykjafoss waterfall and offers a truly special experience for anyone into hot springs and natural relaxation. It can be quite tricky to find so here's some information about how to get there:

How to get there: It's GPS coordinates are 65°29'44.6″N 19°22'55.6″W. When driving the ring road, turn on road 752 at Varmahlid and continue for about 7 km / 4 miles. Then turn left once you spot a Vindheimar signboard and keep driving until you cross two small bridges. Make a right turn on the gravel road and park your car. Walk through the two gates when heading right and walk for about five minutes to the hot spring.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A remote and pretty hidden hot spring in North Iceland.

  • Best season: Summer (not sure how it is during winter to be honest).

  • Opening hours: 24/7.

  • Nice to know: It's comfortable for up to 6-8 people but can get quite busy during peak travel season.
