If it's winter or summer, the Hundwiler Höhi always is a great choice. It's best to arrive at Jakobsbad by public transports, ascend steeply from there and enjoy the dreamy agricultural landscape and forests around you. After reaching the top, you can enjoy the best views in direction of the Alpstein massive while having a rewarding drink in the restaurant "Hundwiler Höhi" (see link below). Enjoy the sun! After that, you can descend either to Gonten (what we did) or Hundwil. We recommend you the first choice for the views.
