During my weekend in Tucson, I found the city to be quite walkable as the traffic was minimal and the distances were not far (in my opinion) to get one from neighborhood to the next. Typically around 15-20 minutes. But if you're looking for other modes of transportation, here are some of my best suggestions.

Sun Tran Streetcar

It connects five unique districts– Mercado San Agustín, Downtown, Fourth Avenue, Main Gate Square and the University of Arizona.

It is currently free to the public and is open for anyone to use, at least through summer 2025.

Tugo Bike Share

Tugo Bike Share has 40 stations and 330 bikes across 13 Tucson neighborhoods available 24/7, 365 days a year. Go to a station, get a pass, grab a bike, and go!

Uber & Lyft

As someone based in Portland, I was shocked at the prices for Uber in Tucson. They were pretty cheap compared to using these apps in other major cities.

Rent a car

While there's many car rental companies, I love using SIXT. Great options and great pricing
