Udo-jingu Shrine, located in the Miyazaki prefecture of Kyushu, is definitely worth a stop. Perched atop a steep cliff face, it overlooks a beautiful blue ocean and jagged rocks below. Visitors have the chance to throw pebbles into a holy rock for good luck - men must use their left hand and women must use their right hand in order to succeed! There's also a hidden seaside cave beneath the shrine, which is said to have fertility powers and attract many female visitors.
