Phra Mahahat Chedi Vakdi Prakat is a large temple, which was built in 1996 by the people without any government funding in order to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his accession to office.
The elegant, bell-shaped pagoda on a square base, and its set of9 pagodas refer to King Rama IX.
It's located on top of a hill overlooking Baan Krood Beach.
The temple is very nice from outside but alsofrom inside, don't miss the glass windows on the top floor.
And if you have a drone, you'll be rewarded by some beautiful views of the beach behind the temple.
It's a great stop if you plan to g o south by car or motorbike. There's not much hotels nearby, but SEAnery Beach Resort is a good option.
