Sani Pass is a stunning mountain pass located in the West of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on the road between Himeville, KwaZulu-Natal and Mokhotlong, Lesotho. Spanning over 9km, Sani Pass climbs a total of 1,332m to reach an elevation of 2,876 meters and offers spectacular views from the summit. The route up Sani Pass has gradients up to 1:3, and can be treacherous in bad weather with snow and ice often blanketing the area during winter months.
