If you've ever seen the movie Eat Pray Love you'll likely remember the scene where she bathes in holy spring water as part of a ritual purification.

As soon as you arrive you instantly feel a sense of calm and tranquility. You're offered the chance to be taken around with a guide which we did as we wanted to fully understand the significance of this special place. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and really made the experience one to remember.

After learning about the history of this ancient temple you're then able to see the actual spring bubbling up from underground before entering the water to conduct the ritual.

  • There are certain conditions to entering the temple itself including those that are pregnant, mourning, on their period and a few others so do check the guidelines before visiting to make sure you can enjoy the full experience.

Unfortunately Taylor was one of those people and had to miss certain aspects of the tour but we'll be sure to go back next time to relive it!

This is a really special place with a lot of cultural history.
