Always good to know some basics when going to a new country with a different culture. The locals will appreciate it.

• Greet with “As-salamu Alaikum”: A warm, respectful hello.
• Use your right hand: For eating and handshakes.
• No PDA: Public displays of affection are frowned upon.
• Ask before photographing people: Especially Bedouins or locals in traditional dress.
• Friday is holy: Some shops may be closed or open later.
