Hahei Beach Cafe is one of the most popular cafes in this corner of the Coromandel. Their menu is packed with brunch classics like waffles and avocado on toast, as well as cabinet food (cake!), drinks, and barista-made coffee.

If this is your first time travelling to New Zealand, take this as your fair warning that almost all of our cafes close early. Hahei Beach is no exception, and shuts up shop at 2:30 pm. So, eat early or take your food to go and sit on the beach.
