The Te Ara Hura Trail is the longest walking track on Waiheke Island. If you were to attempt the whole trail, you’d be walking a whopping 100km. But, there are plenty of sections that will give you a taster of the island without the ultra-marathon commitment.

Some of these are challenging and full of never-ending hills, while others are much easier and follow the coastline. I’ve only done a few sections of the trail, and the walk from Oneroa to Palm Beach has been my favourite so far!
