Miss Lucy’s is a rooftop pizzeria and bar right in the heart of Queenstown.
We first came here while staying at Jucy Snooze (now LyLo) on one of our recent trips. After a long day exploring Moke Lake, we were too tired to go far for dinner, so we thought we'd try the hostel’s rooftop bar. I wasn’t expecting much; hostel bars aren’t usually known for great food. But Miss Lucy’s surprised me!
They serve delicious wood-fired pizzas with all the classics, like pepperoni, and vegan and vegetarian options. If pizza isn't your thing, they have sharing plates, salads, tacos, burgers, desserts, local NZ beers on tap, wines, and cocktails. Happy Hour runs from 4-6 pm every day, when you can get $12 speciality cocktails and $8 house beer, wine, and mixers. Did I mention their barista-made coffee is only $4.50? That’s practically unheard of in New Zealand these days!
There is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside, you’ll get amazing views of Queenstown, while inside, the cosy, vibrant atmosphere makes it hard to leave.
Now, I won’t say Miss Lucy’s is a must-visit. Let’s be honest, if I said that about every great spot in Queenstown, you’d never leave (although, why would you want to?). But it's worth checking out if you’re after cheap afternoon drinks with a view or a relaxed dinner after a jam-packed day.
How to get there
Miss Lucy’s is inside LyLo on Camp Street. It can get busy, so consider booking ahead if you’re visiting during peak season. For Queenstown this summer (December to February) and the winter ski season (July-early October).
