Monteith’s Brewery is one of the most popular places to stop when you’re in Greymouth on your West Coast road trip. Monteith’s is a bit of a legend when it comes to the New Zealand beer scene. You’ll find them in just about every restaurant, bar and liquor store, and their brewery is where it all started.

The brewery has an awesome, laid-back, casual atmosphere, and the team makes you feel like they’re welcoming an old mate through the doors. They have a massive line-up of beers and ciders on tap, plus a food menu full of all the good stuff like hot chips, sliders, burgers and fried chicken.

One of the best parts of visiting here is a free tour of their brewery - you’ll even get to pour your own pint at the end!
