Did you really take a trip to the West Coast if you didn’t snap a photo with the Hokitika Beach Sign?

This iconic driftwood sign has become one of the most photographed spots on the West Coast. It was originally created for the town’s Driftwood & Sand competition in 2015 but was so loved that it stayed, and now it’s a must-visit landmark.

I recommend coming here for sunset, as they're unreal on the West Coast. Or, if you don't have time to spend an evening, grab a picnic lunch from the Hokitika Sandwich Shop and enjoy it in front of some beautiful views of the ocean.
