If there’s one place in Queenstown that screams treat yourself, it’s Onsen Hot Pools & Spa. Sitting high above the Shotover River, this little slice of heaven is one of Queenstown's most popular tourist attractions and a must-visit if it's your first time in town.
Onsen specialises in hot tubs, epic views, and full-body relaxation. A trip here is perfect for winding down after an adrenaline-filled day. My recommendation would be to book a sunset soak and watch the sun go down over the mountains. Does it get any dreamier than that?
Every hot pool session comes with a free drink and snack. Champagne? Check. Beer or juice? Yep. Ice cream, crisps, or a healthy little treat? You bet.
Note: Because Onsen is so popular, you MUST book in advance. We visited in September and made our reservation three weeks before arriving.
Pricing
The Original Onsen – $175 (1-hour soak for two people)
Serenity Soak & Spa – From $275 per person (45-minute soak + 1-hour spa treatment)
