Tatapouri Bay is one of the most magical places to slow down and stay when you’re in Gisborne. The campsite is only 15 minutes from the town centre, but it feels like you’re miles away from the rest of the world. You’ll stay right on the beachfront, fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to the first sunrise in the world. It really doesn’t get better than that.

They offer a range of accommodation options depending on how you’re travelling. Their most popular option is their beachfront glamping tents, but they also have tiny homes, cabins, and campsites.

The campground has all the usual facilities you’d expect at a holiday park, plus an on-site cafe (open at the weekend during summer) serving good-quality Kiwi coffee and a few bites to eat.
