Coromandel Town is if you want to explore a lot of the Coromandel Peninsula and visit places like New Chums Beach, Driving Creek Railway and Waiau Kauri Grove. If you stay in the town, the main street is packed with restaurants and cafes as well as shops and little boutique stores.

If you’re looking for accommodation, you can either camp or I'd recommend trying to find an Airbnb over in Wynua Bay. We stayed here over New Years a few years ago and loved it. It’s not too far from Coromandel Town but feels like you’re miles away from the rest of the world.
