The Great Glenorchy Base Camp is rustic camping meets luxury accommodation. Every room is inspired by historic mountaineer huts, and the camp has incredible facilities, like an on-site bar and restaurant, endless hot water, private saunas, and free Wi-Fi. Plus, every hut has its own fireplace (they even throw in a bag of marshmallows!).

Cost: As you can expect, staying here is much more expensive than staying at other places in the area. A shared dorm costs $147 per night, and a private room costs $400+. But, if you've got the budget, then it’s the most beautiful place to treat yourself and create a memory you’ll remember forever.
