Where do I start? Lakes Edge Holiday Park in Lake Tekapo is one of my favourite campsites on the South Island. The accommodation there is beautiful, and waking up here feels like something out of a dream.

We spent our evenings by the lake, cooking dinner on our camp stove and watching the sky turn pink over the mountains. I woke up early and grabbed a coffee to catch the sunset reflecting off the lake. It was 100% worth the early alarm!

Prices start at $64 per night for an unpowered site. They also have cabins, powered sites, and facilities that include a small kitchen and hot showers.

Personal tip: The campsite is located a few minutes walk from Tekapo Springs if you want somewhere to relax :)
