Gibbston Valley is a short drive from Queenstown and Wanaka and a must-visit if you love wine, vineyard hopping or want to soak up the beauty of Central Otago. This world-renowned winery is extremely popular (maybe touristy?) and has been crafting award-winning wines for over 30 years. It's also home to New Zealand’s largest Wine Cave!

You can explore the grounds yourself or join a guided tour through the cave and working winery, tasting premium vintages along the way. You can also stop by the Cellar Door to sample a glass (or two). If you get hungry, the bistro-style restaurant serves incredible dishes that pair perfectly with the wines, making it a great spot for a long, relaxed lunch.

Gibbston Valley also has a Bike Centre with regular and E-bike rentals, giving you access to some of the best cycling trails in the region!

If you’re coming from Queenstown, don't have a car, or plan to drink more than one glass, you can hop on the winery’s daily shuttle service! Whether you're here for the wine, the food, or the stunning scenery, Gibbston Valley is a gorgeous stop on your Central Otago adventure.
