Mrs. Woolly’s Campground is a dreamy little campsite tucked away at the head of Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by towering mountains and untouched hiking trails.

After taking what might be the most scenic 45-minute drive in the world from Queenstown to Glenorchy, you’ll wake up to breathtaking 360-degree mountain views that made me want to stay here forever!!!

You're within walking distance of shops, Glenorchy Lagoon Walkway and iconic sights like Glenorchy Jetty and Little Red Shed.

The campground has a mix of powered and unpowered sites, hot showers, toilets, laundry, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. An unpowered site cost us $50 per night in January 2025.

Right next door is Mrs Woolly’s General Store, which is quite frankly my version of Disneyland. It's stocked with outdoor gear, souvenirs, fresh produce, coffee, pastries and Fairlie Bakehouse pies.

Note: If you want to explore the area, their staff can help you sort out track transfers to the Routeburn, Dart-Rees, or Greenstone-Caples tracks.
