Duck Island Ice Cream has become somewhat of an Auckland institution, loved for its quirky and delicious ice cream flavours. Their stores are scattered across the city and sell playful spins on classic Kiwi treats like Fairy Bread (instant childhood nostalgia) and the usual suspects like vanilla (underrated) and chocolate fudge.

They have four stores in Auckland and one in Hamilton. Everyone is busy all day long, and while you may have to wait a while, it’s worth it!
