Cathedral Cove on the Coromandel Peninsula is one of New Zealand’s most iconic beaches, known for its natural rock arch, white cliffs, and clear turquoise water. It’s easily one of the most beautiful coastal spots in the country.

To get there, you typically park in Hahei, where parking costs around $10 to $15 NZD per day depending on the lot. From there, the walk takes about 45 to 60 minutes one way on a well formed coastal track with some hills, making it moderate but very manageable.

If you want an easier option, you can take a water taxi from Hahei Beach to Cathedral Cove, which drops you much closer and saves the walk. Either way, the effort is worth it for the views and the beach itself.
