The trail into remote Raft Cove is only 2km long but don't underestimate it! It is exceptionally muddy and rooty. It will likely take you twice as long (maybe even three times) to hike it as you may expect.
Backcountry camping is available for $5/night/per person. From 2026, non-BC residents will be charged an additional $20 per stay, per camping group, at provincial campgrounds.

There is cleared space in the forest and, of course, plenty of beach available! Raft Cove is usually a lot quieter than nearby San Josef Bay in Cape Scott Provincial Park.
