Want to see a grizzly bear in completely safety but the most ethical way possible? Consider a trip to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort's Grizzly Bear Refuge.

Orphaned at only five months old, Boo the grizzly bear was unable to survive in the wild. He now lives in a 20 acre enclosure on the slopes of Kicking Horse Mountain, which is kept as wild as possible to reflect a natural mountainside habitat.

Public education is a focus, so refuge visits are always guided. There are multiple tours each day - 10am is usually a good bet as Boo is the most active at that time.

If you don't get to see Boo, Kicking Horse will offer another visit for free.
