This was my favourite hotel acommodation in Lugano, for many reasons!

This family-owned hotel has been welcoming guests since 1906.,and offers a charming blend of old-world elegance and modern amenities. Its rooms were recently renovated, boasting charming lake views, and are large and spacious. Dogs are also welcomein the hotel too for a separate fee. On the second floor, these is also a cool honesty bar, meaning it is unmanned, and guests can help themselves to unlimited hot beverages for free, or get their choice of wine/alcoholic drinks and pay in a coin box. It's all based on trust!

Finally, there is a historic archive room with antiques and precious documents and photos detailing the hotel's unique history in Lugano.

Location wise it cannot be any more perfect, being right in the city centre and prime shopping district in Lugano (LV is just downstairs, haha!), and with the lakeside promenade mere steps away.

The courteous staff and delicious breakfast buffet everyday truly make for a truly memorable stay by the beautiful Lake Lugano, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or a family vacation.
