If you are visiting Ticino, I don't care where else you go, you just HAVE TO visit Morcote!!!! A former fishing village, this place was voted the most beautiful village in Switzerland, and they are damn right about that!

Arriving in this picturesque town, I really felt my mind relaxed, it’s just hard not to feel calm and at ease here! I came here during summer and went for a quiet lakeside stroll, admiring the colours of the sunset sky and breathing in the smell of flowers and nature, all while licking a creamy pistachio gelato!

The best time to visit Morcote is during summer, but it is also nice during the autumn season too.

How to get to Morcote:

From Lugano Centro, take the local bus 431 to Morcote, Piazza Grande.
