Just a short walk from the lake and next to the Opera House, Zurich's "Wienachtsdorf" or Christmas village is a magical spot for visitors of all ages. With about 100 market stalls set up in front of the Opera House, it's a cozy place to explore while enjoying a glass of glühwein. This in my opinion is Zurich's best christmas market and it looks absolutely beautiful at night with all the christmas lights and decorations!

Caution though, the queue gets VERY LONG, I remembered people waiting in line for up to an hour by evening so you want to come earlier to beat the crowd.

Top tip: You should combine a visit with dinner at Bernadette just next door, for cheese fondue in a cosy cablecar cabin!
