Faxafoss, also known as Faxi, is a charming waterfall in South Iceland, and a hidden gem.

Location: Faxafoss is located approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) east of Reykjavik.

Accessibility: The waterfall is easily accessible by car, and from the parking lot there is a short walk to the waterfall.

Best Time to Visit: Faxafoss can be visited year-round. Because it is not so popular you can visit at any time of the day.

Facilities: There are basic facilities near Faxafoss, including a parking area and possibly restrooms depending on the season. The nearest amenities such as restaurants and accommodations can be found in Skálholt or nearby towns.
