Jardin Alpin La Rambertia
Perched high above Montreux near Rochers-de-Naye, the Jardin Alpin La Rambertia is a small alpine botanical garden with over 1,000 species of plants from the Swiss Alps and other mountain regions around the world.
What to see: In summer, the garden is full of colorful alpine flowers and rare plants tucked into the rocks, all with Lake Geneva shimmering far below.
With kids: It’s not a playground-style stop, but it’s a quick, interesting detour if your family is already riding the cogwheel train to Rochers-de-Naye. Older kids may enjoy spotting unusual plants and exploring the paths, while younger ones will mostly enjoy the mountain views and open space.
When to go: Best from June to September, when the flowers are in bloom.
Getting there: Take the cogwheel train from Montreux up to Rochers-de-Naye. The garden is just a short walk from the station.
👉 Jardin Alpin La Rambertia is a quiet add-on to a Rochers-de-Naye day trip—perfect if you want a touch of nature and education with your mountaintop views.
