Parking for the BoBosco Trail #2 (Gerra → Sonogno)
The is the 2nd trail that was built for the BoBosco marble run trail. It starts in Gerra Verzasca and ends in Sonogno, the last village of the valley. On the 4.3 km long track there are 10 activity stations which are slightly closer together than the first trail.
Where to buy your wooden marble: You can get a wooden marble for CHF 9 at the start of this trail. It's in a vending machine (see picture above) and you can use Apple Pay or a credit card.
Where to park: There’s a small public parking lot right in Gerra (Verzasca) along the main road through Valle Verzasca. It’s close to the bus stop and clearly marked.
How it works: Park your car in Gerra, then hike the trail uphill toward Sonogno (about 2-3 hours at kid pace with stops for the marble runs). When you’re done exploring Sonogno, catch the bus back down to Gerra to your car.
Why this way works well: You’ll finish in Sonogno, where there are cafés, gelato, a playground, and a lovely little village to explore. Plus, kids love riding the bus back down the valley.
👉 Parking in Gerra makes the logistics simple—you start right at the trailhead, and end your adventure with treats and a bus ride before hopping back in the car.
