Highclere Castle, located in Hampshire, England, is a Grade I listed country house with a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Renovated in the 1840s in a Jacobethan and Italianate style, it is the country seat of the Earls of Carnarvon. Known for its picturesque park designed by Capability Brown, the castle has gained international fame as the main setting for the popular TV series Downton Abbey. Visitors can explore the house, Egyptian exhibition, and gardens during the summer months, as well as attend special events held throughout the year.
