Chillon Castle (Château de Chillon)
Sitting right on the edge of Lake Geneva, Chillon Castle is one of Switzerland’s most famous landmarks—and it really does feel like a storybook castle. With towers, hidden staircases, and a lakeside setting, it’s a guaranteed hit with kids.
What to see: Explore the medieval halls, dungeons, courtyards, and towers. The self-guided route is easy to follow and has plenty of nooks and crannies to keep kids interested.
With kids: Children get a free "Drako's Tour" map of the castle, that makes the tour more fun by searching for special things in each room. Best for kids that can read, about ages 6-10.
