The Shambles in York is a historic street lined with medieval buildings dating back to the 14th century. Originally known as The Great Flesh Shambles, it was once a bustling area for butchers to sell their meat. Today, the narrow street with its overhanging timber-framed houses is a popular tourist spot, filled with shops, restaurants, and even wizard-themed stores.

It's thought to be one of the inspirations for Diagon Alley and it's not hard to see why!
