Buckingham Palace, located in London, is the official residence of the British monarch. Originally built as a townhouse for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703, it became the royal home when Queen Victoria moved in during 1837. With 775 rooms and a massive garden, the palace is a symbol of British royalty and hosts state events and royal gatherings. It's also open to the public for tours during certain times of the year.
