Männlichen Playground (Lieselotte the Cow)
At the top of the Männlichen gondola from Grindelwald (or Wengen), you’ll find one of the most epic alpine playgrounds in Switzerland. Inspired by the storybook cow Lieselotte, it’s huge, imaginative, and has jaw-dropping views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau all around.
The vibe: Big, bright, and built for adventure. Kids can climb, slide, and explore while parents relax with a coffee on the sunny terrace right next to it.
What’s there: A giant cow-shaped play structure to climb through, slides, tunnels, swings, trampolines, bowling and sand play areas. It’s like a mini alpine theme park—but free!
How to get there: Ride the Männlichen gondola (20 minutes from Grindelwald Terminal or 5 minutes from Wengen). The playground is right at the top station—no hiking required.
Tip: This is the perfect add-on to a family hike—like the short Royal Walk up to the crown lookout or the gentle Panorama Trail to Kleine Scheidegg.
👉 Between the playground, the gondola ride, and the easy hikes, Männlichen is one of the most family-friendly spots in the Jungfrau region.
