šŸ‘€ Why Go:
Grindelwald First is Switzerland’s ultimate family adventure mountain! Ride the gondola up and choose from four thrill rides plus a free cliff walk at the top. It’s like a theme park in the Alps — with jaw-dropping views. The stations in the description below refer to spots on the map in the images above! Tickets are not available in advance, only at the valley station of the First Cable Car in Grindelwald.

šŸ› Activities Breakdown

  • First Cliff Walk (Station 5): A steel walkway clinging to the cliff with epic views. Fun for all ages. Free!

  • First Flyer (Station 5): Seated zipline soaring 800m at up to 84 km/h. CHF 31 adult / CHF 15.50 child. Weight requirement: 35 kg (77 lbs). Our boys ages 8 and 11 were actually just BARELY too light, so the adults took turns while waiting with the kids.

  • First Glider (Station 4): Superman-style zipline, pulled backwards then released face-first. CHF 31 adult / CHF 15.50 child. This one only has a height requirement of 130 cm. Both my 8 and 11 year old were tall enough. This line can take the longest so if it's your priority get here fast!

  • Mountain Carts (Station 4): 3-wheel go-kart ride down the mountain road. CHF 21 adult / CHF 15 child. This one is a height requirement of 135 cm. My 11 year old could go, my 8 year old couldn't! I rode the gondola down from station 4 to station 3 and we played at the super fun park while the others rode the carts down.

  • Trotti Scooters (Bort → Grindelwald): Kick-scooter with brakes to cruise back to the valley. CHF 21 adult / CHF 15 child. The height requirement here is 125 cm. Both my kids could go. One adult rode scooters down the mountain while the other rode the gondola down with the toddler to station 2.

    šŸš— How to Get There:

Ride the Grindelwald First Gondola up from the valley.
