Japan

This was my first international trip as a nursing mom, so I was a little nervous about the ability to find somewhere quiet and clean to nurse the baby while we explored. To my very happy surprise, this was essentially NEVER an issue.

Most shopping centers and public places offer either a dedicated nursing room and/or an accessibility restroom with room to nurse/pump. These spaces were always clean and quiet.

Nursing rooms were usually marked with a baby bottle, or symbol of a mother with a baby. If you are curious, I would suggest also asking someone nearby.

You can also download the app Mamapapamap which will help you locate the nearest nursing, lactation, and baby changing rooms.
