Stroller Usage in Japan
What to expect while using a stroller in Japan and what size I'd recommend!

Japan
Spaces and places in Japan are relatively small and tight. I would recommend bringing the smallest, most compact, and most lightweight stroller you can. You may end up needing to carry the stroller up and down stairs, through train stations, and fit in small restaurants, stores, etc.
If you have multiple children, I would advise not using a double stroller, especially a side-by-side stroller, as they will not fit through many doors or in most public places.

HOWEVER, your trip to Japan will most likely include A LOT of walking, so if your little ones are not comfortable walking a lot, I would say a stroller is necessary. And if you have multiple small kiddos, consider bringing a stroller for each child, or get comfortable using a child carrier.
For our trip, we were traveling with a 3.5 year old, and 5 month old. We brought one stroller, and one carrier for the baby. In hindsight, I wish I had brought a stroller for each of them, because carrying the baby so much was exhausting for me and the baby, and the 3.5 year old was not able to walk all day without the stroller. Just my personal experience!
