Mather Point is one of the easiest and most accessible viewpoints on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's located right next to the South Rim Visitor Center which means tons of parking, bathrooms, and crowds.

From Mather Point, you can walk along the rim trail in either direction and after about 10 minutes of walking the crowds will start to thin out. The rim trail is a great hike for people who want to stay at the same elevation for the duration of their hike since it's relatively flat. Mather point is a great easy stop suitable for most people when visiting the Grand Canyon!
