The Apache Trail Scenic Drive is a stunning route that takes you past Lost Dutchman State Park and Canyon Lake. If you continue the drive past Canyon lake it eventually becomes unpaved and 4wd high clearance is recommended. You may also pass the charming small town of Tortilla Flat, which has a rich history and a few quirky shops. Take note that Canyon Lake is planning to close for several months in September 2026 for dam maintenance.
