Kranzberg is a scenic lookout mountain located directly above Mittenwald. From the summit, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of both the Karwendel and Wetterstein massifs. It’s the perfect spot to relax, with plenty of places to sit or lie down and take in the landscape.

Each year, the Johannifeuer (St. John’s fire) on the Karwendel peaks can be observed from here—a unique photographic moment. The summit can be reached via an easy hike (450 meters of altitude) or you can shorten the way by taking the Kranzbergbahn.

Nearby Ferchensee and Lautersee are great for a refreshing swim in summer and also offer additional photo opportunities.
