The hike to Wankerfleck, a stunning high alpine pasture, is long but rewarding (only 140 meters of altitude). The route includes numerous lakes and steep mountain views. In summer, you can shorten the hike by taking a mountain bus.

At the photo spot, you’ll find a charming chapel with the iconic Geiselstein—often called the German Matterhorn—in the background. A short hike from here leads to the Kenzen hut and the picturesque Kenzen waterfall nearby.

Recommended equipment: Wide-angle lens, telephoto lens, tripod

Daytime: full day

Season: spring to autumn

Parking: Kenzen Parking

Public transport: 73 from Füssen
