Häggsåssjön is a lovely, peaceful lake surrounded by forest. This is a perfect stop for a relaxing break or a quiet swim.

There’s a small swim spot with a fire pit right by the shore, making it a great place for a simple picnic or to grill something over the fire. The lake is shallow for quite a long stretch, which makes it ideal for families with smaller children to play safely in the water.

TIP: Bring your SUP or canoe if you have one. Paddling on the lake offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

You’ll find a wind shelter and a jetty used by local fishermen on the opposite side of the beach. This is a nice spot to sit and enjoy the view, especially when it’s windy. You can see this location from the road. Both the swim spot and the wind shelter/jetty have designated parking areas.

Please note that the wind shelter and the beach are not connected by trails, so walking between the two is not recommended.
