Close to lake Mývatn Hverfjall is towering 396 meters and showing a diameter of approximately 1 kilometer. It has been formed by a volcanic eruption about 2500 years ago. You can hike the walking path on the edge. This will give you impressive views over the surrounding country. I walked the whole round when I was wisiting this magical place and in my opinion this place is definitely worth a visit. T
