If you're seeking a unique activity during your time in Aruba and wish to contribute to the island, I highly recommend this experience! Ban Lanta Y Planta is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring and protecting Aruba's local trees.

The foundation has its own reforestation plantation that you can visit, where you can adopt and plant your very own local tree. You can contact them via Facebook or their website to schedule a date. They request a 50 AWG (around $27) donation for tree adoption, which covers the water costs for the first three years of its life. It's an incredible initiative to be a part of, and your contribution is vital to Aruba's future.

My favorite part is that your own tree gets a unique number, so you can always come to visit it and see its progress!
