Beautiful 40min loop track. Picnic area, toilet and camping
This park is a magical spot in Northland where you can wander among ancient kauri trees and maybe even catch a glimpse of a wild kiwi at night. The forest is alive with the sounds of native birds like kereru and ruru, making it a nature lover's paradise. With guided night walks available, this is your best shot at seeing a kiwi in its natural habitat. Don't miss the chance to camp nearby and soak up the tranquility of this special place.
An easy 40-minute loop track leads you through a spectacular stand of kauri. The track is undulating with a mix of boardwalk and metal track.
It is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. However some parts of the track are steep and may not be suitable. (Wheelchair access is via the Trounson Kauri Park day car park.)
