The mighty Bethells Beach sand dunes! Alot of people train here and bring boogie boards for a scream down the dunes!

The hike to the lake from the beach is around 2 km / around 30 minutes one way. If you’re feeling even more adventurous, you can hike around the lake loop track too.

The walk to Lake Wainamu takes you along some amazing volcanic sand dunes, worth doing if you have the time. You will spot Wainamu Falls which is impressive after rain fall.

Be aware of private property signs, stick to the track.
