I'm marking this airport here just to make it clear that the airport is not in the capital Funchal (as its name deceptively suggests), but in the town of Santa Cruz, about a 15-minute drive from Funchal.

Tip: When you're flying home, buy water from the vending machine after security control for 1€. Anywhere else it starts at 2.5€.
